A picture is worth 1000 words. Visual Medical Education (VME) creates visual tools to improve educational and health outcomes. VME leverages the latest digital technology including iPad apps, 3D animations, iBooks, and the Web in order to teach medical concepts. The team is currently working on strategic projects in Surgery, Transplant, Neurosciences, Heart Failure, and Undergraduate Medical Education. These projects are intended to solve important educational problems that affect a significant number of learners.

"Design-thinking" is term that has recently made its way into the world of business. It is an increasingly popular process used to solve problems and guide innovation. Design-thinking isn't just a session VME participates in from time to time. It's the core of who we are. Designers are driven by empathy to creatively solve problems for individuals. We are excited to apply this way of thinking to the world of medical discovery, care, and teaching. Together with our partners in the Emory School of Medicine we are working to preserve health, extend life, and alleviate human suffering.
