Dr. Esther Oluwole is a senior lecturer and consultant public health physician in the department of Community Health and Primary Care, College of Medicine of the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is currently a postgraduate student at UNILAG doing a Master of Science degree in Public Health (MSC. PH). Her area of research interest includes maternal and child health, adolescent health, and non-communicable diseases including sickle cell disease. Dr. Oluwole is passionate about research and has spent the past five years of her career building capacity as a researcher. She was a principal investigator (PI) for a just-concluded grant research titled “Feasibility and Acceptability of Early Infant Screening for Sickle Cell Disease in Nigeria-A Pilot Study in a Local Government Area in Lagos State” which was supported by the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number D43TW010134. She is a co-investigator in several research projects. Her carrier aim is to improve health and prevent diseases, promote health, and reduce health problems among populations.
