Inaugural 2023 School of Medicine Staff Awards

Nominate a Staff Member Now

We are seeking nominations for outstanding staff members who have made a significant contribution to your team or department. Nominations for the 2023 School of Medicine staff awards are due by Friday, October 27. Submit a nomination.

  • Excellence in Leadership Award recognizes a staff member who illustrate outstanding efforts to contribute to the success of the School of Medicine through their leadership and service. Successful nominees effectively promote the School of Medicine tripartite mission and vision at the department level, as well as serves as a role model for others and demonstrates transformative, innovative, and inclusive leadership skills by empowering groups and fostering effective change to contribute to the success of the School of Medicine. 
  • Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award recognizes a staff member who has made significant achievements in ensuring that the climate of the school is characterized by inclusivity and organizational equity through leveraging the varied attributes of diversity in our community.  
  • Service Champion Award recognizes a staff member for excellence in service, collaboration with others, and dedication to School of Medicine community values and exceptional performance. 
  • Learner Impact Award recognizes a staff member who demonstrates impact guided by a commitment to learner success and contributes to learner success in a notable and measurable way including, but not limited to, personal, professional, or academic development of a learner or group of learners above and beyond the expectation of their position.  
  • Innovation Award recognizes a staff member who has helped drive creativity and innovation in the areas of research, education, or clinical care, resulting in increased efficiency, decreased costs, or increased customer satisfaction in a department or for the School of Medicine.  
  • G.E.M (Going the Extra Mile) Award recognizes staff members who goes above and beyond the routine call of duty. Successful nominees are those who have made significant, positive impacts on the School of Medicine, departments, programs, or committees from behind the scenes while exhibiting a commitment to excellence.  
  • Team Excellence Award (2) – Research/Science recognizes a basic sciences, laboratory, or clinical research team (two or more staff members) that has achieved excellence, displayed innovation, or has made a significant impact within its designated field. 
  • Team Excellence Award (2) – Non-Research/Science recognizes a non-research team (two or more staff members) that has achieved excellence, displayed innovation, or has made a significant impact within its designated field. 

Submit a nomination and see award details, eligibility, and required nomination materials using this Online Nomination Form by October 27. Award winners will be chosen in early November and invited to the inaugural School of Medicine Staff Awards Ceremony in early December.
