Our faculty consist of clinical and basic science investigators who conduct a broad range of basic, translational and clinical research on a variety of human malignancies. Through novel discoveries, we are leading the way to a better understanding and improved detection and treatment of cancer.

Fellowship Program

The Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program offered by Emory University School of Medicine and Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University provides clinical and research training in hematology and medical oncology.

Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University

Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University is Georgia's only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center and serves as the coordinating center for cancer research, education and care throughout Emory University.

Upcoming Symposium

Winship's annual Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium provides expert review of the latest procedures, technology, and medical treatments for patients with gastrointestinal cancer. National guidelines are also reviewed. The symposium holds case-based discussions incorporating multi-disciplinary care approaches, novel, recently FDA-approved drugs, and clinical trial eligibility.

The 14th Annual Winship Institute Gastrointestinal Cancer Symposium will be held on February 28, 2026 at the Emory Conference Center Hotel.
