Dr. Kauh received his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After completing medical school, he completed a residency in internal medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas followed by a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center of Georgetown University in Washington, DC. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Kauh joined the faculty of the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Since joining the WCI, Dr. Kauh’s clinical practice has focused on the care of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies. His research interests are aligned with his clinical practice and focus on clinical trials that advance the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. Dr. Kauh is also involved with the development of new drugs and also serves as the medical director of the solid tumor phase I trials program.
