Commencement Speakers

Master of Medical Science Anesthesiology Julius Hamilton Cardiac Anesthesiologist and President/CEO, Physician Specialists in Anesthesia, P.C.

Julius Hamilton is a practicing cardiac anesthesiologist and the President/CEO of Physician Specialists in Anesthesia, P.C; which has proudly served as the exclusive anesthesia provider of Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital since 1980. Hamilton has served in numerous leadership roles within the Georgia Society of Anesthesiologists (GSA) and the American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA). He is a past-president of the GSA and he is the immediate past-chair of the American Society of Anesthesiologists Political Action Committee (ASA-PAC), the largest political action committee in medicine. During his tenure as chair, the ASA-PAC raised ~$3.8M; ranking it in the top 10 of all trade association political action committees nationwide. Outside of the operating room and society leadership, he is an avid golfer, a proud husband and father of three incredible children.

Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant Danielle Roberts Associate Director, Professional Development and Education, Emory Healthcare

Danielle Roberts graduated from Emory University’s Physician Assistant Program in 2007 and initially worked in community oncology before joining the Winship Cancer Institute in 2011. Over the years, she has gained experience in a variety of oncologic specialties, including community oncology, survivorship, GVHD and her current role in malignant hematology. In addition to her clinical work, Roberts serves as a society leader and adjunct faculty member for the Emory University Physician Assistant Program. She recently completed Emory's 2024 Woodruff Health Educators Academy Teaching Fellowship and was honored as Emory Healthcare’s APP Educator of the Year. Her passion for education and professional development continues to drive her impact within the health care community.
