Dr. Suchita Pakkala earned her Medical Degree at the University of Tennessee after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Rhodes College and her Master’s Degree in Physiology from Georgetown University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine followed by her specialization in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Emory University.
Dr. Pakklala’s research focuses on lung cancer in the HIV-positive population. The current literature is sparse in regards to optimal treatment for this population. Therefore, the goal of her research is to further define the clinical and molecular characteristics of HIV-positive patients with lung cancer.
