Dr. Lawson’s training has all been at Emory and it has been focused on clinical oncology.
Dr. Lawson’s primary interest is building a melanoma program that incorporates the best of basic and clinical science with the goal of improving the care of patients with melanoma. To that end, he has established an active melanoma working group. The group funds seed grants for basic or clinical research, and also participates in and leads clinical trials at all phases of therapy development.
