Research Interests

Dr. Jillella's research focus is in Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL) where we developed a strategy to decrease induction morality from an estimated 30% to 5%. It is funded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and has now received provisional approval as an ECOG trial. The plan is to make this a global initiative. My primary clinical interest is in the area of bone marrow transplantation with specific emphasis on patients with leukemia, multiple myeloma, and other blood-related malignancies.
