
Second year hematology/oncology Fellows start a 12 to 18 month laboratory or clinical research project designed to produce at least one scientific/academic publication. The fellows are expected to present their research findings at Hematology and Oncology Grand Rounds, submit abstracts for presentation at up-coming national meetings, and to realize at least one publication. Each fellow develops and submits a proposal for review by the Training Program Committee prior to starting their research project usually during the second half of the first year of training.
