First Year Training

The first year of training includes:

1. Orientation in July
2. Six 2-month inpatient Hematology/Oncology Services in system hospitals
3. Half-day continuity clinics at Grady Health System each week all three year
4. A second continuity clinic at the Atlanta VA Medical Center during the first year
5. Attendance at weekly Hematology and Oncology Grand Rounds Conferences
6. Participation in weekly Fellows’ Core Lecture Series
7. Weekly research conferences
8. Tumor Conferences at the hospital at which you are on service
9. Monthly sessions reviewing current literature
