MD Dual Degree Admissions

MD/PhD

If you wish to apply to the MD/PhD Program, you must first submit an application via AMCAS.  If your application meets our minimum MCAT scores, you will be sent the Emory Supplemental Application, which is where you will indicate your interest in our MD/PhD Program.  All of the same requirements and deadlines for the MD Program apply.  Please be sure to review the information for How To Apply.

Research experience is required, and you will be asked to provide detailed information about your  research experience on the Emory Supplemental Application.

MD/MPH

You must first submit an application via AMCAS.  If your application meets our minimum MCAT scores, you will be sent the Emory Supplemental Application, which is where you will indicate your interest in our MD/MPH Program.  All of the same requirements and deadlines for the MD Program apply.  Please be sure to review the information for How To Apply.

If you are interested in the MPH program, you are encouraged to indicate this on your Emory Supplemental Application.

(NOTE: Indication of your interest in the MD/MPH program at the time of application to medical school does not formally commit you to this program. Medical students have until their third year of medical school to officially decide if they wish to pursue the MPH – even if they did not indicate interest in this program at the time of application.)

MD/MSCR

You must first submit an application via AMCAS.  If your application meets our minimum MCAT scores, you will be sent the Emory Supplemental Application.

Students do not formally apply to the MSCR until their third year of medical school. At that time, students apply separately through the Laney Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Please be sure to review the information for How To Apply.

MD/MA in Bioethics

You must first submit an application via AMCAS.  If your application meets our minimum MCAT scores, you will be sent the Emory Supplemental Application, which is where you will indicate your interest in our MD/MA in Bioethics Program.  All of the same requirements and deadlines for the MD Program apply.  Please be sure to review the information for How To Apply.

Instructions for submitting a separate application to the Laney Graduate School of Arts and Sciences will be sent to you if you indicate this interest on your Emory Supplemental Application.

Other Programs for Medical Students

Emory medical students may be accepted to other graduate programs at Emory such as the Juris Master (JM) program at Emory Law School and the MD/MBA program at the Goizueta Business School.  You must follow all AAMC procedures to apply through AMCAS first. If your application meets our minimum MCAT scores, you will be sent the Emory Supplemental Application.

If you wish to apply to the MD/JM or MD/MBA program you may do so by submitting a separate application to Emory Law School or Emory's Goizueta Business School after acceptance to medical school.  Please be sure to review the information for How To Apply.
