Most medical students live within a 3-mile radius of campus, allowing them to take advantage of numerous alternative transportation resources sponsored by the University. Instead of driving (and paying a parking fee), students may choose to use public transportation, shuttle, bike, ride-share, or walk to campus. The free campus shuttles service the campus and many nearby neighborhoods.
Registered members of Commute Alternatives Programs are eligible to register for an Occasional Parking Permit. This permit allows commuters who typically travel to Emory by shuttle, bike, carpool, vanpool or other programs to drive occasionally to campus and park in a designated parking deck for a limited number of times each year.
Students who choose to drive to campus daily are able to park in the nearby Michael Street Parking Deck. An annual parking fee applies.
