Heather H. Hamby, MPH, is Executive Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer for Emory University School of Medicine and Associate Vice President for Health Center Integration for the Woodruff Health Sciences Center.
Ms. Hamby has served previously in key roles in the School of Medicine, including Vice Chair of Administration and Executive Administrator for the Department of Medicine; Executive Administrator for the Department of Surgery; and Executive Administrator for the Emory Transplant Center. Her administrative leadership roles have included strategic planning, program development, operational and fiscal management, business leadership, and operational engineering.
Ms. Hamby also has served as a senior consultant for Kaiser Permanente of Georgia, as a senior planning associate for Emory Healthcare, and as business manager for the Division of Hematology and Oncology in The Emory Clinic.
She is a member of the Administrators of Internal Medicine and the Association of Academic Surgical Administrators, and she is a Woodruff Leadership Fellow in Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center.
Ms. Hamby received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and her Master of Public Health degree in health policy and management from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University.
