ENDURING MATERIALS Thank you for your interest regarding CME credits for your upcoming CME activity. The CME office is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). We grant CME credits to qualified educational programs according to ACCME Essentials and Standards. Qualified programs and activities are 1) implemented based on clearly identified needs of a targeted population of physicians; 2) planned with the integral involvement of the OCME; 3) free from industry influence 4) fiscally managed by the OCME; and 5) evaluated for effectiveness in meeting objectives. In addition, enduring materials must comply with the ACCME Standards for Interpreting the Essentials as Applied to CME Enduring Materials. The Course Schedule and Approval Form must be completed by the Course Director and signed by the Department Chairman. Submit the Course Schedule and Approval Form to the Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME) with the following support documents: 1) Draft of the Agenda which includes faculty (with address) and topics. 2) Details of how the need for this program was determined. 3) A list of learning objectives indicating knowledge of skills to be gained by participants. 4) Completed and signed Conflict of Interest Declaration from the program faculty. Completed pre- and post- tests and accompanying payments must be sent by the registrants to the OCME to receive the appropriate CME certificate. If educational grants are anticipated, funds from a manufacturer should be in the form of an Unrestricted Educational Grant made payable to Emory University. The terms and conditions and purposes of such grants must be documented by a signed Letter of Agreement between the manufacturer and the School.
